Rather than replying to the numerous rather petty posts by a "Gary Cotts" -
who, let's face it, seems to claim to know rather a lot about Ian Bell, I'll
do a single reply here. This is in an effort to avoid the tedious flamewar
of the past, but to state my position for the many lurkers on this group.

The purported CIX mails were reposted to CIX at much the same time as "Mr
Cotts" made his USENET post. This is probably why many people couldn't see
it straight away as the various web caches were updated.

I've spoken to CIX about it and they have said they will be making a public
statement about these purported emails in the next few days on their
website, and we will shortcut to it from the Frontier site. They have given
me permission to say this, as they are not happy about the situation.

As for the rather scurrillous and innaccurate stuff about Gametek (and "Mr
Cotts" - you forgot to actually post what you quote to your site I think!),
Gametek were bought out, liabilities and all. This is how the case
continued. The completion date to which he refers was mentioned in Gametek's
initial pleadings, but was wrong as these date was changed during
development.

Thanks to the people who replied to these posts on my behalf. I suggest "Mr
Cotts" gets on with doing something productive rather than this childish
pantomime argument.

I had in mind the "Oh yes he did... Oh no he didn't" sort of thing you tend
to get in pantomimes, but your definitions above seem somehow appropriate!

Sorry for this - it does come over as a bit of a rant.

Not at all. CIX restored the Bell site with my blessing, with the dodgy
stuff removed. The site holder then put the purported CIX mails back. This
seems unbelievably petty. At much the same time "Mr Cotts" shortcutted to it
here. What a coincidence.

Could you point me to it, please. Clearly I have missed it.

Thanks.
