To confirm our conversation of earlier, we have been approached
regarding part of the contents of your web site.
Could you possibly clarify whether you hold copyright to publish the
files regarding the Elite computer game on your web site?

I am surprised to hear this because, as I can assure you, I have
received no complaints concerning the material on my site and would have
expected so to do were there any legitimate objections to it.
Please forward me a copy of the email concerned so I can consider this
matter further.

You told me that Mr David Braben had complained to you concerning the
material on my site. I asked you to put the details of this complaint in
writing and you have not yet done so. I refer you to my previous email.

Dear Mr Bell,
CIX has been threatened with legal action by Mr David Braben over the breach
of distribution rights for the Elite gaming software which is available for
download on your web site.
Mr Robert Lee of CIX has been in previous communication with yourself,
requesting documentory evidence of your rights to distribute the Elite
Software. This is now an URGENT matter and if CIX does not recieve the
required documentation by 09:00 am on 9th September 1999 then CIX will
enforce it's rights under our Terms and Conditions and remove access to your
WEB space "http://www.cix.co.uk/~ibell/". Alternatively, you could remove
the offending material "the Elite gaming software" by the above date.
